Abstract

The rapid iteration of artificial intelligence (AI) technology is profoundly reshaping the global higher education ecosystem, and higher art education in the Philippines is also facing technological impacts and transformation opportunities. Taking higher art education in the Philippines as the research field, this paper combines constructivist learning theory, cultural adaptation theory and digital literacy framework to analyze the current dilemmas and core challenges of higher art education in the Philippines in the AI era. From four dimensions—curriculum system restructuring, teaching mode innovation, teacher capacity enhancement, and cultural value preservation—this study proposes adaptive strategies for the transformation of higher art education tailored to the local context of the Philippines. The study aims to provide theoretical reference and practical paths for art institutions in the Philippines and Southeast Asia to respond to AI-driven changes and cultivate artistic talents with both cultural awareness and digital creativity.
