Abstract

Oral ability is a crucial part of English teaching. It is not only the key to language learners to communicate effectively in English, but also an important indicator to measure the effectiveness of English teaching. Under the background of deepening globalization, cultivating students' oral English expression ability has become one of the core goals of English education. However, the traditional oral teaching mode often faces many challenges, such as a single teaching form, low student participation, insignificant teaching effect and other problems. To overcome these challenges, the educational community is constantly exploring new teaching methods aimed at improving students' oral English proficiency. Among them, recitation, as a traditional learning method, has attracted the attention of English education researchers again because of its unique advantages in language input and language sense cultivation. Especially in the framework of the "input hypothesis" theory, recitation is considered as an effective way to promote language acquisition.

This paper aims to deeply explore the theme of "the application of recitation input method in improving students' oral English expression ability". Through systematically combing and analyzing the existing literature, this paper will comprehensively show the research status and development trend of recitation input method in oral English teaching from the theoretical basis, practical application, teaching strategy and other dimensions.
