Abstract

The study of the images of Chu women in Pre-Qin literature is an important aspect of Chu culture research. This paper examines the scattered depictions of Chu women in key Pre-Qin texts such as Zuo Zhuan, Chuci, and Warring States bamboo slips, analyzing their characteristics in terms of political strategy, shamanistic spirituality, and diverse secular life. It reveals the status and roles of Chu women in social history and explores the profound influence of their literary portrayals on later generations.
