Rote memorization and weak application in senior high school English vocabulary teaching affect students’ core competencies. Based on Ausubel’s Cognitive Assimilation Theory and the 2022 English Curriculum Standards, this paper explores the use of Advance Organizers in vocabulary instruction. It analyzes the nature of vocabulary learning, defines the principles of Advance Organizers, and constructs a multi-dimensional strategy system including expository organizers, comparative organizers, and multimodal resources, supported by a teaching case. Results show that Advance Organizers effectively bridge prior knowledge with new vocabulary, optimize cognitive structure, and enhance learning efficiency. The study provides a practical reference for promoting meaningful vocabulary learning in senior high school.
