Abstract

α-Amino phosphates (α-APs) are an important class of organophosphorus compounds that contain both amino and phosphate functional groups at the same carbon center. These compounds exhibit remarkable biological, pharmaceutical, and catalytic properties, making them valuable intermediates in drug synthesis, peptide chemistry, and material sciences. This review provides an overview of the recent progress in the synthesis, reactivity, and applications of α-APs, emphasizing novel catalytic methodologies, green synthetic approaches, and their emerging roles in various scientific fields.
