Research on Construction Quality of Shengtian Road Government Affordable Housing Project in Chenghua District

Abstract

Construction quality is an important reflection of an enterprise's reputation and technical level, and it is directly related to the safety of people's lives and property. The continued use of traditional technologies in China's construction projects has led to issues such as construction period and manpower problems, causing quality and safety hazards. Therefore, strengthening engineering quality management is of great significance for the development of the industry. This paper takes the Shengtian Road Government Affordable Housing Project in Chenghua District as the research object. The study finds that the project has quality problems such as concrete shrinkage cracks, uneven settlement, and concrete freezing. The causes include insufficient consideration of temperature difference and shrinkage characteristics in design specifications, defects in building layout, influence of foundation soil characteristics, improper foundation design and construction, as well as the lack of maintenance and thermal insulation measures during construction. Aiming at these problems, specific improvement measures are proposed, and process management strategies such as improving the quality control system, strengthening personnel training, and promoting collaborative supervision by multiple stakeholders are emphasized, providing references for quality management in the construction industry.
