With the rapid development of technology, the impact of engineering activ-ities on society is increasingly significant, requiring engineers to consider the overall social interests in their engineering practices. Therefore, the ethical re-sponsibility of engineers has become an important topic. This paper explores the connotation and development of ethical responsibility in engineering practice and analyzes its practical application. Using literature review and case study as research methods, the paper examines the specific connotation and coping strategies of ethical responsibility in engineering practice by reviewing relevant literature and real cases. It concludes that ethical responsibility in engineering practice includes compliance with laws and regulations, respect for human rights and social justice, pursuit of technological and professional excellence, emphasis on sustainable development and environmental protection, as well as enhancing transparency and honesty. The development of ethical responsibility requires strengthening engineering ethics education and focusing on interna-tional communication and cooperation under the influence of globalization. By adhering to ethical responsibility, engineering practice can promote harmoni-ous social development, protect the environment, and foster sustainable devel-opment, demonstrating the importance of the continuous development of ethi-cal responsibility in engineering practice.
