Abstract

The symmetrical internal communication which widely studied in various research fields especially to enhance the productivity of the institutions. The paper researched the effect of symmetrical internal communication on the autonomous motivation of 128 hotel employees in Thailand, where the power distance is prominently held and practiced within society. Therefore, the power distance according to Hosftede’s cultural dimensions in the 1980s considered a practical concept which recently developed in 2023 the psychological conceptualization focused on the individual level of analysis consisted of power, conflict with authority figures, prestige, hierarchy, and social distance. The study defined the psychological power distance into three dimensions that differently moderated the effect of symmetrical internal communication on autonomous motivation which examined the positive relation.
