Abstract

An index system for inter-provincial new quality productivity in China was constructed based on the connotation of new quality productivity. The new quality productivity index was measured using the entropy method. Kernel den-sity estimation, the Theil index, decomposition, and spatial autocorrelation models were used to describe the dynamic evolution and regional differences in new quality productivity development. At the same time, this article discusses the dynamic relationship between green technology transfer and new quality productivity, as well as their coupling relationship. The results show that, from 2012 to 2022, the development level of China's new quality productivity shows an overall upward trend, and the development of new quality productivity shows significant differences among regions; the new quality productivity of each province shows an obvious trend of gradient improvement and also re-flects the characteristics of unbalanced development. There is a significant spa-tial agglomeration effect of new quality productivity, which mainly manifests as low-low agglomeration and high-high agglomeration. Based on the analysis of the coupling coordination degree in the study, it is pointed out that the effective transfer and integration of green technology can significantly promote the op-timization and upgrading of the economic structure, and enhance the level and efficiency of new quality productivity. We then put forward the policy opinions of planting high technology to promote new quality productivity, promote the coordinated development of new quality productivity in the four regions, and realize a spatial agglomeration effect on new quality productivity. This study may supplement and improve the evaluation system for new quality productiv-ity; evaluate new quality productivity by layers based on the dimensions of high technology, high efficiency, and high quality; improve the comprehensiveness and hierarchy of the index; understand the spatiotemporal evolution of China's new quality productivity; and provide new ideas for cultivating new quality productivity and promoting high-quality economic development.
