Abstract

This study focuses on the application of the process approach to writing in the teaching of reading continuation writing, aiming to explore how this teaching method can enhance students' English writing skills. The process approach to writing emphasizes that writing is a dynamic process that includes pre-writing, drafting, revising, and editing. Through a literature review, the study analyzes the theory and practice of the process approach to writing and discusses its op-erational strategies in the teaching of reading continuation writing. The results indicate that the process approach can effectively improve students' critical thinking and creative expression abilities, helping students maintain coherence and consistency with the original text in continuation writing. This study pro-vides new perspectives and practical guidance for English writing teaching and is of significant reference value for educators and language learners.
